‘With children spending increasing amounts of time online, we believe it is more important than ever to help empower children to stay safe and resilient online. Created in consultation with children, our interactive virtual Online Safety Workshops are delivered live using Zoom with our experienced trainer at home and the students and teacher in class. Each workshop is 45 minutes long and with the support of Google, we can provide 4 x workshops per school for €50.
Our workshops are child-led, discussion based and focus on a positive approach to online safety. We do this by asking children to be STARs online – 4 simple rules to help them how to stay safe online. For more information on how to book our workshops, please email onlinesafety@barnardos.ie. Online Safey Webinar for Parents
Barnardos online safety webinars for parents are based on current research and best practice to promote online safety for children. We believe that open communication between children and adults and regular conversations about a child’s online use are key to helping children stay safe online.
