At the heart of the community: small rural schools in Europe and Northern Ireland

This webinar took place on Wednesday 17th Nov 2021, 7pm – 8pm was joint initiative Church of Ireland Centre DCU a nd Irish Primary Principals’ Network.  The keynote was given by Professor Carl Bagley and Dr. Montse Fargas-Malet from Queen’s University Belfast. They talked about small rural schools and their links to their communities as well as reporting on their new research with principals of small primary schools in Northern Ireland.  We also invited the principals of four small school from around Ireland to respond to them – Carolyn Good, Carrigduff NS, Co. Wexford; Alison Quill St. Michael’s NS, Co. Cork; Malachai MacAmhlaoimh in Dún Chaoin Co. Chiarrai; Siobhan Fitzgerald, Eglish NS, Co. Galway. You can register today and watch the recorded webinar
