  • 2026 City/County Network Autumn Meetings

This September, IPPN will be visiting networks nationwide to share key updates, address pressing issues facing school leaders, and provide essential support for our members. Also, we will officially launch IPPN’s Guide to the leadership of inclusive practice — a practical new resource to help schools foster inclusion.

These meetings are also your first step to getting more involved with IPPN. Want to represent your city or county network on the National Council? Attend your local meeting! National Council nominees bring the voices and experiences of their networks to the heart of IPPN, helping shape policy, advocacy, and the future of our profession.

Registration will open on the 13th April.

  • Burnout Prevention Digital Series

One of the key learnings from the Sustainable Leadership project has been the negative impact leadership practice can have on the health and wellbeing of school leaders. This is what prompted the Advocacy & Communications committee of the National Council to develop a position paper on school leader wellbeing, out of which emerged our Be Well, Lead Well campaign.

The underlying premise is that you cannot lead effectively if you are not well enough to do so. As part of the campaign and to further promote your wellness, IPPN commissioned accredited psychotherapist, coach and mental health consultant Sinéad Kennedy to develop a digital series exclusively for IPPN members. The series – entitled Be Well, Lead Well: Burnout Prevention – consists of a 9-step digital series that can be digested at your own pace, whenever it suits you to engage. The emphasis is on prevention by recognising the signs and symptoms of stress and burnout, with practical tips and downloadable resources. It will also be helpful for those already experiencing burnout.
