|Deputy Principals' Conference|
IPPN's Annual Deputy Principals' Conference takes place in mid-May each year. It attracts over 500 deputy principals as well as education advocates, Department of Education officials and other education partners. The event combines professional seminars, plenary sessions with keynote speakers of national and international reknown and of course plenty of time to network with fellow deputy principals as well as an Education Expo featuringa variety of learning resources and school supplies..
Deputy Principals' Conference 2014
This year's Deputy Principals' Conference will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 15th May and full day Friday 16th May in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel Ballinasloe.
Ciarán Cannon TD, Minister of State for Training and Skills at the Department of Education and Skills and Brendan McCabe, IPPN President will address the conference in a joint session on Friday morning followed by a Question & Answers session.
We look forward to welcoming Fr Peter McVerry to another IPPN conference. Fr. Peter McVerry is founder of the Peter McVerry Trust which was set up to reduce homelessness and the harm caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage. Peter addressed the Principals’ conference in 2013 and made for one of the most memorable speakers to date.
In addition to an impressive line-up of speakers there will be an opportunity to attend two seminars from the following topics:
Conference Registration will open at 3.30pm, with an early registration option available from 2.30pm. There is an opportunity to visit the Education Expo and attend a seminar before the Conference Dinner that evening. Friday’s schedule comprises two keynote sessions in addition to another seminar session as well as time to visit the Education Expo and network with colleagues over lunch and refreshments.
